This is a free online venue sponsored by Tricycle: The Buddhist Review. Each month Clark posts a haiku challenge (along with a haiku tip) and participants have until midnight Eastern Times on the last day of the month to submit as many haiku as they wish. Of those submitted, Clark chooses ONE haiku for commentary as the winner, plus TWO honorable mentions. The results are posted to Tricycle.org during the following month.
Four times yearly ONE winning poem from each season becomes the subject for Clark’s “On Haiku” column in the print edition of the magazine. In terms of circulation, this is the largest regular venue for haiku in the English-speaking world.
